About

Katie Richtiger, M.S., LMFT

I graduated from California State University Northridge with a Master of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

My practicum was completed at Sylmar Health and Rehabilitation, where I provided individual and family therapy for those suffering from severe mental illness; in addition to facilitating life skills and multi-family groups.

Concurrently, I completed my traineeship at Pacific Shores Hospital in Oxnard, California as an individual, group and family therapist for those suffering from eating and co-occurring disorders.

Upon completion of my practicum, I continued with my specialties of mood disorders, eating disorders and addiction by working as a primary therapist at Pacific Shores Hospital and Safe Harbor programs.

My tenure at both treatment centers provided me with substantial experience in providing individual, group, couples and family therapy to adolescents, adults and their families.

I began my career as a licensed marriage and family therapist at KLEAN Treatment Centers, specializing in addiction and co-occurring disorders. I started as a primary therapist in the intensive outpatient and outpatient program. I was promoted in 2016 and served as program director of both programs until 2018. Following I served as a primary therapist, Assistant Clinical Director and most recently as Clinical Director at Muse Treatment Center.
